The Double-Barrel Boomstick is one of the Support's second tier weapons.
Description:
- Primary fire uses a single barrel only.
- Alt-fire shoots both barrels at once.
- Double-barrelled, side-by-side 12-gauge shotgun. Ideal for close-range combat. Even the biggest zeds will stagger!
Note: Significant kick. Will knock you backwards when fired, (or upwards if aiming down and jumping)!

Notes:
- Alt-fire attack adds up to +/- 5 meters per second towards player current falling velocity.
- Player's stance has no effect on the pellet spread.
- Amount of recoil depend on player stance and movement. Crouching and aiming down the sights gives the lowest possible amount of the recoil.
Strategy:
Double-Barrel is a powerful tool in support specialist's arsenal. Sporting great 300 base damage if all 12 pellets hit. With this weapon you can efficiently kite a Fleshpound. When fleshpound is about to hit you move backwards jump and press alt-fire, recoil from the gun will push you out of the hit range and you will escape unscratched while dealing significant damage to Fleshpound. Double-Barrelled Boomstick also has enough damage to kill Husk or Siren with a double-shot. This is a risky strategy since you need to get close to execute it.
