Come one, come all!

Welcome to the Summer Sideshow, held this year at the Tragic Kingdom Abusement Park! The safety and health inspectors tried to shut us down, but after Pukey the Clown got done with them they’re no longer able to register a complaint!

Experience the thrills and chills of the Tragic Kingdom Map, centerpiece of our Summer Sideshow Seasonal Event! Test your luck and skill at games like Dunk the Bloat and Pop the Clot! Scream on the terrifying Queen of Blades or experience the hurtling terror of Pound Mountain!

Marvel at the might of the Strong Pound, or laugh at the antics of the adorable Pinhead! We’ve got clowns, sirens of the south seas, clowns, pyrotechnics, and more clowns! Now with vomiting clowns!

New weapons!

Similar to the Winchester, it has a better scope, does more damage…okay, it’s just better. Update 1051

New Game Mode: Holdout

There’s few things more dangerous than a cornered animal… except perhaps a cornered survivor with a lot of high explosives. In the new game mode Holdout, everyone is cornered all the time. In Holdout, players play through a different small map for each wave, each with limited room to maneuver or retreat, forcing players to stand their ground against the Zed onslaught. Can you stand shoulder to shoulder with your allies in the face of overwhelming numbers, or will you break and run, leaving your team to die messily?

New Weapons

With this update we bring back a classic and introduce a long-requested new weapon!

First, we have the Spitfire pistol, a retooled flare gun from Killing Floor 1 that is great for lighting Zeds on fire with precision. Available alone or in pairs, the Spitfire pistol is a tier 2 Firebug weapon, but also a cross-perk weapon for Gunslingers and Sharpshooters. The Spitfire pistol gives the Firebug more precise spike damage at the expense of a smaller area of effect than the existing Firebug weapons.

Second, we have the long-requested light machinegun in the form of the Stoner 63A. With high ammo capacity, a high rate of fire, and limited accuracy, the Stoner 63A is a tier 4 Commando weapon without peer when it comes to hosing down large groups of Zeds with chunks of fast moving lead. And we could make a joke about the name, but we wouldn’t stoop that low… at least not yet.

New Maps & Achievements

The Descent
Our first Holdout map, the Descent is a series of underground chambers beneath Volter Manor. Each wave takes place in one of ten different rooms, and the rooms are in a random order after the first, so each time you play you get different experience. These rooms represent the more secure facilities used by Hans in his experiments and need to be cleaned out to put a stop to his terrible work.

Nuked
Our new Community map, Nuked, is the burnt and broken remains of a city that has a Zed problem on top of an incoming nuclear attack. Don’t stare directly at the nuclear flash and remember to duck and cover!

Descent Comic

Von Strasser has a score to settle with Hans, and DJ Scully… he just likes lighting things on fire. Don’t judge. While exploring Volter Manor and testing new weapons for Horzine they find the entrance to The Descent and end up in far more trouble than they bargained for.

Can Van Strasser get his revenge? Can DJ Scully resist making jokes about the Stoner 63A name? I think we all know the answer to the second question.

Introducing: Multiperk

Ever wonder “Hey, I’m a Commando who is awesome with assault rifles. Why am I not awesome with the HMTech-401 Medic Assault Rifle? It’s an assault rifle, isn’t it? It’s right there in the name!” Well, now you are! With the new Multiperk system, many weapons are considered perk weapons for more than one perk, allowing increased flexibility when it comes to choosing your armaments.

Use an Incendiary Trench Gun or VLAD-1000 Nail Gun as a Support, an M16 M203 as a Commando, or a HMTech-201 Submachinegun as a SWAT, and receive all the benefits of using a perk weapon.

New Weapon: Bone Crusher

Perfect for those times you feel like going medieval on a Zed, the Bone Crusher lets you get your inner barbarian on with face-breaking shield bashes and skull-splitting mace strikes. A tier 4 Berserker weapon, the Bone Crusher lets you cleave a path through hordes of Zeds with ease while making your parries even more effective at blocking damage.

Nothing like a hubcap, a baseball bat, and a boatload of desperate ingenuity to create the latest in close combat anti-Zed weaponry!

New Zed: Gorefiend

What’s better than one gigantic rusty blade bolted to a Zed’s forearm? TWO gigantic rusty blades bolted to each of a Zed’s forearms! The gorefiend is everything you love to hate about the gorefast, only more of it. And a tongue that is just wrong. The gorefiend is ready to ruin your day in a whirl of spinning blades and pain.

New Map & Achievements: Zed Landing

When the erupting volcano is the least of your worries, you know your tropical island vacation has gone awry. Welcome to Zed Landing! Thanks to a crashed Horzine cargo plane, this island has become infested with Zeds, all of whom want to eat you before the volcano cooks you. Or after really, they’re not that picky; Zeds are into barbecue.

Along with the new map comes a selection of new achievements to prove you faced the volcano and lived to tell the tale.

Zed Landing Comic

Horzine has been known to save some Dosh by shipping its mercenaries aboard the cargo planes of its ZedEx subsidiary, but on this trip across the South Pacific there's more than cramped seating and a lack of in-flight entertainment making life difficult for Mr. Foster and Donovan Neal.

ROSWELL, GA – November 18, 2016 – Tripwire Interactive, in collaboration with Deep Silver and Iceberg Interactive, is pleased to announce that their eagerly awaited co-op sci-fi horror FPS game, KILLING FLOOR 2, is available now globally on PC, and for the first time the franchise will be available for console gamers with versions for the newly launched PlayStation®4 Pro computer entertainment system and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system platforms.

The sequel to the 3+ million unit selling PC game, Killing Floor, makes its console debut with this release, bringing with it, its trademark frenetic gunplay and larger than life gory visuals, completely amplified with fluid controls, sharper textures and overall increased fidelity. Today’s release marks the closure of KILLING FLOOR 2’s extremely successful time in the Steam Early Access phase, selling over 1+ million units and continuing to grow its loyal community. Those who have previously purchased the Early Access version will be able to update their game to reflect the full launch content, including the brand new Survivalist perk, available today.

“We’ve poured our heart and soul into perfecting KILLING FLOOR 2, seeing all of the community feedback from the Early Access phase was invaluable, and to see the game’s full release today is truly overwhelming,” said John Gibson, President of Tripwire Interactive. "We wanted to give existing fans the visceral action that this longstanding franchise is known for, as well as offer new fans a chance to experience the brutal joy that millions of gamers already know and love. Launching KILLING FLOOR 2 for the PC, and for the first time ever on consoles via the PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 4 symbolizes the next step for us at Tripwire Interactive and we could not be more ecstatic.”

The digital PC base version of KILLING FLOOR 2 is available to purchase for $29.99 (US), ₤19.99 (UK) and €26.99 (EU) via Steam® and other digital outlets as well as the PC Digital Deluxe version for $39.99 (US) /£29.99 (UK) /€39.99 (EU). In collaboration with Deep Silver and Iceberg Interactive, the deluxe content of KILLING FLOOR 2 is included in the PC, PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®4 Pro retail and digital versions for $39.99 (US) /£29.99 (UK) /€39.99 (EU).

In KILLING FLOOR 2, players descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union— Just one month after the events in the original KILLING FLOOR, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding.

Not all have given up hope though... A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.

KEY FEATURES:

  • Visceral Gore - KILLING FLOOR 2 ramps up the gore with a proprietary, high powered persistent blood system bringing new levels of fidelity to the genre. Players will send entrails, severed limbs, and blood flying as they wade through hordes of enemies. But they need to watch out! If caught, enemies will rip them, and their entire party limb from limb
  • 6 player co-op or solo play - A multitude of varied playable characters await for players to choose from as they enter the fray in online co-op mode or solo mode for those willing to brave the horrific specimens alone
  • Versus Survival Game Mode - Be the Zed! A 12 player PvP mode where two teams take turns playing Humans vs. Zeds in a pair of short matches. In the first match, one team plays Humans and the other Zeds until the humans all die during a single round or they beat the boss. For the second match the teams switch sides and when the battle is completed both teams receive a score based on their performance and the higher score wins!
  • Terrifying Zeds - New enemies and fan favorites from the original game are back with expanded and smarter artificial intelligence, dishing out powerful attacks, working as a group to weaken the player’s party and pushing the challenge level and fear factor to new levels
  • Unique Blend Of Weaponry - From modern militaristic assault rifles, brutal improvised makeshift weapons, classic historical guns, and off the wall “Mad Scientist” weapons, KILLING FLOOR 2 has a unique blend of killing tools that will satisfy any gamer
  • Expanded Perk System - Perks from the original game have been reimagined with more added to the fold. All perks now progress with meaningful talent choices that amplify different play styles, giving players a progression path that is expansive and full of rewarding milestones
  • Brutal Melee Combat - KILLING FLOOR 2 reinvents melee combat completely. Players now have control over the type of melee attacks they can perform, enabling them to deliver bone-breaking crippling attacks to Zeds

KILLING FLOOR 2 is developed by Tripwire Interactive and is published by Deep Silver and Iceberg Interactive for the PlayStation®4 Pro, PlayStation®4, and PC. This title has been rated M by the ESRB, PEGI 18, USK 18.

S.W.A.T. Perk
Get ready to breach and clear with the new SWAT perk! Armed with flashbang grenades and a variety of submachineguns, the SWAT perk is ready to keep the Zeds pinned down with a storm of lead. SWAT perk skills allow you to either be an armor wearing juggernaut or a fast moving dealer of precision death, but in all cases the SWAT perk is in the thick of the action.
The SWAT perk’s weapons are fast firing submachineguns that can chew through Zeds like a woodchipper through…Zeds. The SWAT perk's grenade is a flashbang grenade that does limited damage but has a high chance of stunning Zeds caught in its blast.

Loyalty Reward Info & New Cardboard Knight
When fighting Zeds, the right protective outfit is vital to both your survival and looking stylish. Some days you get lucky and lay your hands on a badass looking suit of Horzine Security Armor, and other days you’re forced to make a suit of armor out of cardboard. Both are stylish…in their own ways.
The elite variants of the Horzine Security Armor and the Horzine 9mm pistol skins are loyalty rewards that are earned by everyone who plays in early access, though other versions will be available at a later date as part of a cosmetic bundle in the game store. The cardboard armor will be available for sale in a new cosmetic bundle in the game store.
For more information visit the ZED-conomy page!

New Map and Achievements
Go to hell! Literally! The new Infernal Realm level, which is a community map that has become an official map, takes survivors to a whole new level of Zed killing surrounded by bones, hanging corpses, brimstone, and hellfire. And the trader is totem made of bones. That can’t be a good sign.

Revised Resistances and Perks
Almost all the perks got tweaks to their skills or passive abilities in this update, but the Firebug, Support, and Medic got more in depth changes to make their skills more balanced. The goal is to make every skill choice more interesting. Zeds have also had their resistances revised, their movement and evasion tactics made more challenging, and their spawn groups adjusted, creating a much more intense experience on higher difficulty levels. And watch out for Hans. Really. He’s been at the gym or something.

Complete with a new set of skills and perk abilities, the Sharpshooter rewards accuracy and long range play as you dish out massive damage through carefully placed headshots.

Revised Perks & Zeds
Berserkers, Commandos, and Demolitionists have gotten some love to make their perk abilities more interesting, their skill choices more meaningful, and their interactions with Zeds more rewarding. In addition, the Zeds have seen their abilities revised as well to better counter, or be countered by, various perks.

VS Update Mark II
Now you get a Zed! And you get a Zed! Everyone gets a Zed! VS Matches now involve the two teams taking turns playing Humans and Zeds over the course of a pair of short matches. During the first match, one team plays Humans and the other Zeds until the humans all die during a single round or they beat the boss, at which point the teams switch sides for the second match. After the second match is complete both teams receive a score based on their performance and the higher score wins. The player controlled Zeds in VS have also seen substantial adjustments to make the whole experience more fun.

New Characters & Hans Changes
Rae Higgins

An Australian who ended up on the wrong side of the world when everything hit the fan, Rae hasn’t taken the Zed outbreak quietly. Sporting her Rockabilly style and a surprisingly upbeat attitude, she’s ready to bust skulls.

Fancy Hands Hans

The good Dr. Volter has decided to allow those foolish enough to face him a bit more of a sporting chance. Now when injured, he will deploy a shield while looking for someone to drain to heal himself. If Dr. Volter’s shield is destroyed before he finds a victim, he won’t be able to heal and will be knocked down, so dog pile on the doctor and ruin his day.

New Maps and Achievements
We’ve added two new maps, Hostile Grounds and Containment Station, that are the first drawn from the work of the KF2 community. Hostile Grounds is an urban environment with both above ground and subterranean sections, while Containment Station takes KF2 to the final frontier onboard a space station where Zeds are running amok.

We’ve all talked about this one for years – the ability for you not just to kill the Zeds, but the chance to BE the Zed – so here it is! In the all-new Versus Survival game mode, up to six players can be their normal, Zed-slaughtering selves, while up to six more can play as the Zeds. Work your way through multiple survival waves, all the way up to the Boss. Can the Human team make it through all the waves – or can the Zed team stop them before they get to the end? 6v6 PvP gameplay with every weapon, Zed and death!

Zeds vs Players
If you join the Zed team, you’ll get to be any of 11 playable Zeds. Start as one of the mindless horde and work your way up through the waves, to play as a Scrake, Fleshpound or even the Patriarch himself! And to make them all more interesting to be, more dangerous to fight – all of the Zeds will have special attacks and abilities when controlled by players. Extra leaps, jumps, speed… new attacks… plenty of ways to freak out the Human team!

New Weapons
With the Sharpshooter on his way, we thought we’d give you a couple of classic weapons that you’ve all been asking for: the Winchester lever-action rifle and the Crossbow. Cult classics for the Sharpshooter, with so many fond memories from earlier incarnations!

New Map and Achievements
In addition to the all new game mode and weapons, we are adding another new Tripwire map: Prison. Set in some dark corner of Russia, where the Zed outbreaks have already spread, we have a recently-abandoned prison, with its cells, shower-blocks and guard towers. Now who is in prison – the Zeds or the players? Complete with difficulty level map Achievements – plus the “Find the Soap” Achievement.
