The Random Weapon is the Survivalist's starting weapon. It resembles a randomly chosen tier 1 / starting weapon from the inventory of any other perk.

General Information
The Random Weapon has equal chances to become either of:
- Crovel Survival Tool
- AR-15 Varmint Rifle
- SG 500 Pump-Action
- HMTech-101 Pistol
- HX25 Grenade Pistol
- Caulk n' Burn
- Dual 1858 Revolvers
- Winchester 1894
- MP7 SMG
Strategy
If the game you've joined has not started yet, for the wave 1 a Tactical Reload skill is a better option over the Heavy Weapons Training' is it covers 6 out of the 8 weapons (excluding Covel as it can't be reloaded) while the other skill only has impact on 3 of them.
It also recomended to pick up Spontaneous Zed-plosion for at least wave 1 since there's only 1/9 chance to spawn with the HX25 Grenade Pistol, the only started weapon affected by the Make Things go Boom skill. 6 out of 8.
