List of Updates
In KILLING FLOOR 2, players descend into continental Europe where the outbreak caused by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has quickly spread and gained unstoppable momentum, essentially paralyzing the European Union— Just one month after the events in the original KILLING FLOOR, the specimen clones are everywhere and civilization is in disarray; communications have failed, governments have collapsed, and military forces have been systematically eradicated. The people of Europe know survival and self-preservation too well and lucky survivors have gone into hiding.

Not all have given up hope though... A group of civilians and mercenaries have banded together to combat the outbreak and established privately funded operation bases across Europe. Upon tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them.

S.W.A.T. Perk
Get ready to breach and clear with the new SWAT perk! Armed with flashbang grenades and a variety of submachineguns, the SWAT perk is ready to keep the Zeds pinned down with a storm of lead. SWAT perk skills allow you to either be an armor wearing juggernaut or a fast moving dealer of precision death, but in all cases the SWAT perk is in the thick of the action.
The SWAT perk’s weapons are fast firing submachineguns that can chew through Zeds like a woodchipper through…Zeds. The SWAT perk's grenade is a flashbang grenade that does limited damage but has a high chance of stunning Zeds caught in its blast.

General
* Third person character animations should now look better when characters are looking about and aiming
* Headshots now impart force on the ragdoll from the direction of the blow
* All Zed attacks impart some force to players
* Removed recoil kick when jumping and firing (does not affect boomstick jumping)
* New Crate and USB opening animations and rarity sound fx
* Weapon Skin Icons have been re-worked
* Players can now equip weapon skins directly from the new item UI
* Depth of Field has been added to the gear menu
* New 9mm sounds

* Adding alternative gamepad control presets (Default - 0, Quick Draw - 1 , Jumper - 2, Southpaw - 3: not named ingame yet)
* UI: Kill messages for zed kills on the HUD (Default is off, see gameplay options)
* Players will now drop their best weapon on death if the weapon they have out cannot be dropped
* Zed time post process effect has been tuned to avoid bloom getting blown out in some lighting scenarios
* Flashlight brightness has been tuned
* Items purchased from the ZedConomy Store are now tradeable, but not marketable.
* Welder removed from the weapon selection menu - now only available from the prompt to bring up welder at door - This should allow players to select the healer more reliably
* General optimization pass, some users may notice performance gains

Balance
New Map and Achievements
* Increased speed of AA12 elite reloads
Go to hell! Literally! The new Infernal Realm level, which is a community map that has become an official map, takes survivors to a whole new level of Zed killing surrounded by bones, hanging corpses, brimstone, and hellfire. And the trader is totem made of bones. That can’t be a good sign.
* Decreased cost of AA12 (1700 > 1500)
* Increased speed of equip and putaway for welder
* Increased speed of equip and putaway for healer by 2x
* Speed of healing others and yourself has been increased
* Increased speed of equip and putaway of all weapons by 60%
* Fleshpound will no longer perma-rage, and Scrake will no longer insta-rage when they are among the last few remaining Zeds

Bugs
* Possible fix for “Phantom Projectiles” issue with projectile weapons
* Fixed some issues with the Husk sprinting animations
* Fixed some spectating UI issues
* Fixed rubberbanding/jittering when grabbed by Zeds & Patriarch tentacle
* Fixed an issue with using HOLD iron sights keeping you in ironsights after letting go
* Fixed Berserker attack speed UI display
* Possible fix for trader not filling ammo when you only need a few bullets
* Fixed an issue where you could stand on top of dosh bling
* Fixed some issues with FLEX on KF-VolterManor
* Fixed some pathing issues in the Birthday room of KF-Bioticslab
* Fixed some issues with rarity and conditions of weapon skins
* Fixed an issue where Rack Em’ Up UI would persist after death or perk swap
* Fixed an issue where you couldn’t break zed limbs in real time

Known Issues
Revised Resistances and Perks
* You cannot parry player controlled zeds in Versus
Almost all the perks got tweaks to their skills or passive abilities in this update, but the Firebug, Support, and Medic got more in depth changes to make their skills more balanced. The goal is to make every skill choice more interesting. Zeds have also had their resistances revised, their movement and evasion tactics made more challenging, and their spawn groups adjusted, creating a much more intense experience on higher difficulty levels. And watch out for Hans. Really. He’s been at the gym or something.
* May be some clipping issues with some of the new cosmetics
* May be some pathing issues with KF-Prison

SDK/Mod Workshop
* Added support for .int and .ini to the manual upload tool (GUI upload support will follow at a later date)

Special note on FLEX
Bullseye UpdateBullseye Update
We feel we are close to returning FLEX functionality to the game. We are keeping a close eye on performance and crashes related to it. We have turned FLEX off completely for this build as in the process of fully testing a new build of this functionality and it was not ready for this release.

Hey everyone,
VS Update Mark II
Now you get a Zed! And you get a Zed! Everyone gets a Zed! VS Matches now involve the two teams taking turns playing Humans and Zeds over the course of a pair of short matches. During the first match, one team plays Humans and the other Zeds until the humans all die during a single round or they beat the boss, at which point the teams switch sides for the second match. After the second match is complete both teams receive a score based on their performance and the higher score wins. The player controlled Zeds in VS have also seen substantial adjustments to make the whole experience more fun.

Thanks for your participation in the beta over the weekend! The update is now live and we'll continue to make adjustments via our live game updating system and updates over the coming weeks in order to incorporate your feedback and address additional bugs.

Highlights
New Maps and Achievements
We’ve added two new maps, Hostile Grounds and Containment Station, that are the first drawn from the work of the KF2 community. Hostile Grounds is an urban environment with both above ground and subterranean sections, while Containment Station takes KF2 to the final frontier onboard a space station where Zeds are running amok.

Update 1046 Update 1048

ROSWELL, GA – November 18, 2016 – Tripwire Interactive, in collaboration with Deep Silver and Iceberg Interactive, is pleased to announce that their eagerly awaited co-op sci-fi horror FPS game, KILLING FLOOR 2, is available now globally on PC, and for the first time the franchise will be available for console gamers with versions for the newly launched PlayStation®4 Pro computer entertainment system and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system platforms.

The sequel to the 3+ million unit selling PC game, Killing Floor, makes its console debut with this release, bringing with it, its trademark frenetic gunplay and larger than life gory visuals, completely amplified with fluid controls, sharper textures and overall increased fidelity. Today’s release marks the closure of KILLING FLOOR 2’s extremely successful time in the Steam Early Access phase, selling over 1+ million units and continuing to grow its loyal community. Those who have previously purchased the Early Access version will be able to update their game to reflect the full launch content, including the brand new Survivalist perk, available today.

“We’ve poured our heart and soul into perfecting KILLING FLOOR 2, seeing all of the community feedback from the Early Access phase was invaluable, and to see the game’s full release today is truly overwhelming,” said John Gibson, President of Tripwire Interactive. "We wanted to give existing fans the visceral action that this longstanding franchise is known for, as well as offer new fans a chance to experience the brutal joy that millions of gamers already know and love. Launching KILLING FLOOR 2 for the PC, and for the first time ever on consoles via the PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 4 symbolizes the next step for us at Tripwire Interactive and we could not be more ecstatic.”

The digital PC base version of KILLING FLOOR 2 is available to purchase for $29.99 (US), ₤19.99 (UK) and €26.99 (EU) via Steam® and other digital outlets as well as the PC Digital Deluxe version for $39.99 (US) /£29.99 (UK) /€39.99 (EU). In collaboration with Deep Silver and Iceberg Interactive, the deluxe content of KILLING FLOOR 2 is included in the PC, PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®4 Pro retail and digital versions for $39.99 (US) /£29.99 (UK) /€39.99 (EU).

KEY FEATURES:

 • Visceral Gore - KILLING FLOOR 2 ramps up the gore with a proprietary, high powered persistent blood system bringing new levels of fidelity to the genre. Players will send entrails, severed limbs, and blood flying as they wade through hordes of enemies. But they need to watch out! If caught, enemies will rip them, and their entire party limb from limb
 • 6 player co-op or solo play - A multitude of varied playable characters await for players to choose from as they enter the fray in online co-op mode or solo mode for those willing to brave the horrific specimens alone
 • Versus Survival Game Mode - Be the Zed! A 12 player PvP mode where two teams take turns playing Humans vs. Zeds in a pair of short matches. In the first match, one team plays Humans and the other Zeds until the humans all die during a single round or they beat the boss. For the second match the teams switch sides and when the battle is completed both teams receive a score based on their performance and the higher score wins!
 • Terrifying Zeds - New enemies and fan favorites from the original game are back with expanded and smarter artificial intelligence, dishing out powerful attacks, working as a group to weaken the player’s party and pushing the challenge level and fear factor to new levels
 • Unique Blend Of Weaponry - From modern militaristic assault rifles, brutal improvised makeshift weapons, classic historical guns, and off the wall “Mad Scientist” weapons, KILLING FLOOR 2 has a unique blend of killing tools that will satisfy any gamer
 • Expanded Perk System - Perks from the original game have been reimagined with more added to the fold. All perks now progress with meaningful talent choices that amplify different play styles, giving players a progression path that is expansive and full of rewarding milestones
 • Brutal Melee Combat - KILLING FLOOR 2 reinvents melee combat completely. Players now have control over the type of melee attacks they can perform, enabling them to deliver bone-breaking crippling attacks to Zeds

KILLING FLOOR 2 is developed by Tripwire Interactive and is published by Deep Silver and Iceberg Interactive for the PlayStation®4 Pro, PlayStation®4, and PC. This title has been rated M by the ESRB, PEGI 18, USK 18.

Loyalty Reward Info & New Cardboard Knight

When fighting Zeds, the right protective outfit is vital to both your survival and looking stylish. Some days you get lucky and lay your hands on a badass looking suit of Horzine Security Armor, and other days you’re forced to make a suit of armor out of cardboard. Both are stylish…in their own ways.

The elite variants of the Horzine Security Armor and the Horzine 9mm pistol skins are loyalty rewards that are earned by everyone who plays in early access, though other versions will be available at a later date as part of a cosmetic bundle in the game store. The cardboard armor will be available for sale in a new cosmetic bundle in the game store.

For more information visit the ZED-conomy page!

New Map and Achievements

Go to hell! Literally! The new Infernal Realm level, which is a community map that has become an official map, takes survivors to a whole new level of Zed killing surrounded by bones, hanging corpses, brimstone, and hellfire. And the trader is totem made of bones. That can’t be a good sign.

Revised Resistances and Perks

Almost all the perks got tweaks to their skills or passive abilities in this update, but the Firebug, Support, and Medic got more in depth changes to make their skills more balanced. The goal is to make every skill choice more interesting. Zeds have also had their resistances revised, their movement and evasion tactics made more challenging, and their spawn groups adjusted, creating a much more intense experience on higher difficulty levels. And watch out for Hans. Really. He’s been at the gym or something.

Sharpshooter is here

The much anticipated Sharpshooter perk is now available, bringing with it a slew of new weapons! Stop Zeds in place with freeze grenades! Rack up the headshots with the M14-EBR! See how many Zeds you can shoot through with one shot from the Rail Gun! Complete with a new set of skills and perk abilities, the Sharpshooter rewards accuracy and long range play as you dish out massive damage through carefully placed headshots.

Revised Perks & Zeds

Berserkers, Commandos, and Demolitionists have gotten some love to make their perk abilities more interesting, their skill choices more meaningful, and their interactions with Zeds more rewarding. In addition, the Zeds have seen their abilities revised as well to better counter, or be countered by, various perks.

New Characters & Hans Changes

Rae Higgins

An Australian who ended up on the wrong side of the world when everything hit the fan, Rae hasn’t taken the Zed outbreak quietly. Sporting her Rockabilly style and a surprisingly upbeat attitude, she’s ready to bust skulls.

Fancy Hands Hans

The good Dr. Volter has decided to allow those foolish enough to face him a bit more of a sporting chance. Now when injured, he will deploy a shield while looking for someone to drain to heal himself. If Dr. Volter’s shield is destroyed before he finds a victim, he won’t be able to heal and will be knocked down, so dog pile on the doctor and ruin his day.

Tutorial and Item Reward

Get ready to enter the Training Floor! Now fresh meat can learn to how play in the Training Floor, a guided experience that will teach the basics of killings Zeds, spending dosh, and living to tell the tale. Those who complete the Training Floor will earn three cosmetic items as a reward, but that is nothing compared to the hard won knowledge they will have earned.
