The Crovel Survival Tool is one of the Berserker's starting weapons.

Description

  • Primary - fast slash attack, Hold Primary for combo attack
  • Secondary - heavy blunt attack
  • Alt - block/parry

Flavor text

  • "Part crowbar, part shovel, all quite deadly."

Strategy

  • The Crovel is a quick and versatile melee weapon, capable of dealing both Slashing and Blunt damage.
  • A light swing will not kill a Crawler in one swing to the body, as they have a 50% resistance to slashing (0.5x damage modifier). Thankfully, the standard (stationary/moving forward) heavy attack not only does more than enough Blunt damage to kill a Crawler, it is also very good at catching them mid-leap.
  • Despite its favorable handling, the Crovel does not deal enough damage to effectively combat the tougher zeds, and should be replaced with the Pulverizer by the time Scrakes Spawn (Wave 5 on Long games).
