The AR-15 'Varmint Rifle' is one of the Commandos starting weapons.

Description

  • Choice of 3-round-burst or semi-auto fire modes.
  • Alt-fire to toggle between fire modes.
  • With flashlight attachment.

Flavor text

  • "This is for Zeds, not 'varmints'."

Strategy

  • Three shots or a well-aimed burst will decap a Bloat if used by a level 25 Commando. Alternatively, this can be done in three individual shots by a level 15 Commando with the Single Fire talent, or with a single bust by a level 20 Commando with the Autofire talent.
  • More cost-effective than the 9mm Pistol, at 2 bullets per Euro.
  • It is recommended to use single-fire mode to decap zeds. Even on a level 25 Commando with the Autofire talent, one burst is only enough to kill a Crawler or a Stalker with body shots.
